The exhibition “Valovi topline” (Heat waves) was opened in Vodice Public Library on July 14th. This is the twelfth exhibition organized by members of the Hungarian art colony “Sarlot Lavanda” that is being held in our library in the last five years.

The colony is home to well-liked Hungarian professional artists, as well as amateurs, who, with their artists and curators Alexandra and Roberta Faltisz, and the well-known professors Orgovany, Bornemis, and Kiraly, have been creating artworks in different techniques for the last two weeks. They creations were inspired by the beauties of our Adriatic and the beautiful island of Prvić.

The co-operation between the Hungarian art colony and the City Library of Vodice is regularly monitored and supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Croatia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, because such events, which are a blend of culture and tourism, greatly contribute to the development of good relations between the two neighboring countries.
