The EVS is a service inscribed in the Erasmus+ Program that promotes the volunteering abroad of youngsters between 17 and 30 for periods from 2 weeks to 12 months. Public libraries are fully eligible institutions.

Last year we published a post where Joanna Naczyńska, director of the Municipal Public Library in Piekary Śląskie -an expert in the EVS program- shared a Step by Step guide for sharing their expertise in this program with European public libraries. The post was completed with The EVSification manual, a very complete guide for those institutions that want to incorporate a volunteer from the program.

We’ve recieved a request from a volunteer who’s looking for a public library to accept her to perform her voluntary work.

Update (15th March 2019): This person has finally found a library to do the volunteering, so we’ve removed all the personal details and the  curriculum vitae from this post.
