A little while ago we wrote on the Project Sister Libraries in Action for Youth of the Municipal Public Library of Piekary Slaskie (Poland). Today we we give you more information facilitated by its director, Aleksandra Zawalska-Hawel. Out of this visit they got their two most recent sister libraries!
For four days, from 11 to 14 September 2012, within the framework of our project SISTER LIBRARIES IN ACTION FOR YOUTH, we hosted representatives of  four European libraries on a preparatory visit at the Municipal Public Library in Piekary Śląskie. These were:
– Lidia Esther Morales Falcón (the Culture Councilor) and María Dolores León Donate, Arucas Municipal Library, Gran Canaria, Spain,
– Ullamaija Hirvonen and Tuija Sirviö-Lappalainen, Iisalmi City Library, Finland.
– Rasa Šukevičienė and Valentina Grinevičienė, Kaunas County Public Library, Lithuania.
– Tajana Grbin and Milojka Skokandić,  Korčula City Library „Ivan Vidali”.
The project SISTER LIBRARIES IN ACTION FOR YOUTH has been funded with support fromthe European Commission within the framework of the “Youth in Action” Programme. The purpose of the meeting was to improve and develop existing cooperation with our SisterLibraries and the preparation of joint innovative international projects involving young peopleunder different Actions of the Programme.
