Panevėžys County Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė Public Library (Lithuania) is now connected with Chrzanów Public Library (Poland) in NAPLE Sister Libraries program.
The libraries defined the grounds of the cooperation: exchange of good practice and job experience, search new ways of promoting reading, learning about each others culture and heritage.
For both libraries one of the most important spheres of activity is their special attention to the history and culture of their native region; another field for the successful cooperation – creative reading promotion which is one of the basic tasks of all modern libraries.
With this new sistership, NAPLE Sister Libraries has reached
53 COUPLES OF SISTER LIBRARIES
amongst all the participants!
