In connection with the 100th anniversary of the regaining of independence by Poland this year, Municipal Public Library in Piekary Slaskie started the project “100 objects for the 100th anniversary of regaining independence”.

The aim of the project is the digitization and publication of selected manuscripts, prints, photographs and documents of special importance for the history of Poland, but also for our small homeland.

 

 

Implementation of the undertaking is possible thanks to cooperation with the Silesian Library in Katowice, which allowed us access to modern and professional scanners. Scanned objects will be made available on the platform of the Silesian Digital Library.

Thanks to this, our most valuable historical collections will reach recipients all over the world.
