Description of sistership
The two libraries, Pučka knjižnica i čitaonica Daruvar and Městská knihovna Český Těšín, have been collaborating since 2012, encouraging and mutually supporting the partnership with the aim of promoting reading and advancement of librarianship.
Over the years, we have successfully carried out several projects together:
- joined organization of A Night with Andersen (Noć s Andersenom)
- creation of a mutual website
- celebration of Naple Sister Libraries Day on September 13 th in 2013
- creation of The Book about the City (Knjiga o gradu) by the end of 2013
- creation of an e-collection based on the project Become a Writer with... (Postani pisacs…) in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024
- equivalent exchange of publications, scientific-methodological materials and programs, bibliographic and reference literature, and other materials highlighting the achievements of both institutions
- exchange of information of interest to both institutions and joint efforts in addressing relevant domestic and international bodies and institutions.
We hope to continue this successful collaboration.
