We are very happy to announce that we have a new library in the programme, the 3th Belgian library to join NAPLE Sister Libraries. And, also, the number 100 library in the program!
Public Library of Pittem serves a small community of 6600 people. They have seek the cooperation with regional bodies, for example the hospital, with which they have a project called Living Library. They are also part of the “Delphi Project”, an initiative from a group of Flemish libraries aiming to put the public library in the center of their communities. They do so through a service model that focus on the needs of their patrons.
If you want to know more about them, and what they are looking for just go to the Libraries Section and click on its name. You’ll find it under Belgium. You’ll also find there a detailed description of their activities and the specific project they want to develop in the Sister Libraries Program.
With this new incorporation, the programme reaches:
100 European public libraries participating!
