We are very happy to announce that we have a new library in the programme, the 34th Spanish library to join NAPLE Sister Libraries.

Castropol Public Library is situated in a beautiful town in Northern Spain, the Asturias region. The origins of the library date in 1922 when a young group of students from Castropol decided to create a library, the Circulating Popular Library of Castropol, aiming to bring the reading to the people in a sparsely populated area.

They love reading promotion and have a strong use of social media to reach their audiences.

If you want to know more about them, and what they are looking for just go to the Libraries Section and click on its name. You’ll find it in Spain.  You’ll also find there a detailed description of their activities and the specific project they want to develop in the Sister Libraries Program.

With this new incorporation, the programme reaches:

97 European public libraries participating!
