Librarians from Korčula City Library “Ivan Vidali” (Croatia) send us some news about cooperation with their sister Arucas Municipal Library (Spain) in the framework of the international meeting of librarians in Korcula. These libraries became sisters last 26 March 20014, one of the latest agreements of this program.
During the international meeting of librarians in Korcula, our Spanish partners in the EU project “Library. I love it!“, actually our sister library from Arucas – Gran Canaria, they brought as a gift many interesting and creative bookmarkers which are made in their library through organized workshops with children. Also, they gave us many letters of friendship that have been sent in Korcula from the Canarian children between the ages 7-12 years.
This Letters are divided to the children, in collaboration with elementary school teachers https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152814701174803.1073741895.325794784802&type=1
After some time, we are planning to organize one meeting with that children and their teachers here in library and see the results! We believe this is the one of the first nice and useful contact between our two libraries and between our users, especially childrens and young adults. We hope that with the help of  these letters and through our libraries in the future will be realized some new beautiful friendships enriched by the diversity of European culture.
