On 25 October, the team from Tauragė’s B. Baltrušaitytė Public Library had the pleasure of visiting the Jurbarkas District Public Library, where they were able to explore the charming “Pumpkin House” and enjoy the interactive “Bench Trail” experience.
During the tour, they had the opportunity to become acquainted with Jurbarkas Library’s unique spaces, their project activities, and to exchange best practices. It was a fantastic chance to share ideas and discuss plans for future collaborations, strengthening bonds with their colleagues in the process.
Later, the team visited the Girdžiai branch, where they continued this meaningful exchange of practices and ideas, discussing project initiatives and future perspectives in the region.
To conclude the day, attendees shared their reflections on the experience while enjoying a delightful cheese-tasting session, bringing an inspiring and productive close to the professional development day.
At Sister Libraries, we firmly believe in cooperative work between libraries and hope this collaborative activity serves as inspiration for many others. There are many ways to collaborate, such as visiting another library and organising joint activities (as our colleagues from Tauragė have done), exchanging materials between both libraries, organising exhibitions about your sister library… You can find more ideas on our website. Together, we achieve more!
