Our colleague Jeanete Alfaiate da Conceição from the Aveiro Municipal Library in Portugal, sends us the information about their workshop “Readers and new technologies : user training”, along with this text:
“Educating readers and promote reading is a task of a big responsibility. The library is the good place to take on this task. Develop practices of community reading, which can help to promote love of reading and using new technologies is one of the library mission.
The objective of this workshop is to sensitize the reader to read on new digital technologies. With the advent of e-books, e-readers and tablets it was a growth of digital publications. We will find digital libraries and how we can see all of online content.”
