We are very happy to announce the incorporation of another English library to the NAPLE Sister Libraries program.

Wigan libraries have 10 library buildings serving a community of over 300,000 residents.

The purpose of the Wigan libraries is to exchange of ideas and expertise, promotion of multiculturalism and multilingualism, Staff interchange.

Wigan libraries develop activities for children and young adults, activities for seniors, activities in cooperation with other organizations, culture promotion, digitalization and preservation, exhibitions, handcraft workshops, health literacy, library services for people with special needs, literacy, literary workshops, local culture (local heritage), reading clubs, reading promotion, storytelling, technology literacy .
