We are very happy to announce that we have a new library in the programme, the 36th   Spanish library to join NAPLE Sister Libraries.

Ricardo León Municipal Library is situated in Galapagar, a city of about 30.000 inhabitants in the Madrid region. In 2017 they won the National prize for Reading Animation, Maria Moliner awarded by the Ministry of Culture. Among a wide range of activities, they’re currently working towards raising awareness of the 17 objectives for sustainable development adopted by UNESCO.

If you want to know more about them, and what they are looking for just go to the Libraries Section and click on its name. You’ll find it under Spain. You’ll also find there a detailed description of their activities and the specific project they want to develop in the Sister Libraries Program.

With this new incorporation, the programme reaches:

101 European public libraries participating!
