Our colleagues from Marko Marulic Split City Library are sharing with us this activity that took place at the Bol-Plokita Library in Split.
Libraries have long been hubs for community, creativity, and collaboration, and the Bol-Plokite Library in Split proved this once again with the opening of the exhibition “Fišice” by artist Žana Krželj.
The event, held in a warm and cheerful atmosphere, showcased how libraries can transcend their traditional role, becoming vibrant spaces for cultural connection. Starting at 6 PM, the library was vibrant with art and library enthusiasts who came together to celebrate this special moment.
A true highlight of the evening was the collective performance of “Sve će biti dobro” (Everything Will Be Fine), a song by Bruno Krajcar. This heartfelt musical act united everyone present, embodying the themes of hope and togetherness that resonate deeply in Žana’s work.
“Fišice” is not just an art exhibition—it’s a celebration of the power of collaboration and shared creativity. This opening demonstrated how libraries can serve as bridges between art and community, offering a space where inspiration thrives, connections are strengthened, and hope is shared.
Through events like this, European libraries continue to redefine their role, championing innovation and fostering unity in their communities.
