Description: "Public Library of Pittem is a rural library, situated in the province of West-Vlaanderen (Belgium). It serves community of 6600 people. It has one main library and a branch library. It consists of a youth section and adult section, its collection houses books, dvd's, e-books, newspapers, magazines,... The library serves many purposes: enhancing reading promotion by providing literature for children and adults, improving people's digital skills and information literacy, prooting caccess to cultural activities. The Pubic Library of Pittem is a Delphi Library which means that its whole service model is designed to help people's needs for information. The public Library of Pittem is not withstanding its small scale very active and is regarded as a model for small rural libraries in Belgium.
