Description: The Virovitica Public Library was established in 1947, inheriting a reading room tradition in Virovitica that dates back to the 19th century. Today, we are the county’s central library, with 18 employees, a library collection of around 107,000 items, a mobile library service, full-day opening hours, approximately 4,500 active members, and 11,000 users. The purpose of our work is to provide all citizens with access to knowledge and information, and to promote reading, lifelong learning, and social inclusion. The library’s vision is focused on community development through education, culture, heritage, and creative content accessible to all generations.
