We are very happy to announce that we have a new library in the programme, the 8th library in Poland to join NAPLE Sister Libraries.

Biblioteka Secesja – Biblioteka Miejska w Łodzi is a space devoted to the city—its architecture, urban development, design, and everyday ways of living. It merges the classic role of a library with a venue for meetings, conversation, and thoughtful engagement with Łódź as a dynamic social and cultural entity. The library’s focus centers on books as tools for interpreting the city: its past, ongoing changes, visual character, and daily experiences. Secesja brings together architects, designers, writers, scholars, and local residents to collectively explore how the city influences our lives—and how we, in turn, influence the city.

If you want to know more about them, and what they are looking for just go to the Libraries Section and click on its name. You’ll find it in Poland. You’ll also find there a detailed description of their activities and the specific project they want to develop in the Sister Libraries Program.

With this new incorporation, the programme reaches:

147 European public libraries participating!
