La Casa con Libros, a cultural and social centre in La Zubia (Granada, Spain), warmly invites colleagues from libraries across Europe to join an international meeting from 25 to 31 of October 2025.
The centre combines a small library, community spaces, and activities promoting literature, reading, and independent bookshops. For this Job Shadowing initiative, we aim to bring together a small group of librarians and library professionals from different European countries eager to share experiences, learn from one another, and explore future collaboration.
What’s in the programme?
-Presentation of La Casa Con Libros activities such as Reading Parties or Terror Fiction Night
-Visits to the Biblioteca de Andalucía and local public libraries in Granada
-Round tables and meetings to exchange good practices and discuss challenges faced by libraries across Europe
-An educational escape room experience showcasing gamification in cultural and educational settings
-Meetings with local partners: Youth Centre, Senior Centre, and the Association of Independent Bookshops
-Informal networking in the welcoming atmosphere of La Casa con Libros
Who can participate?
Participation is open to librarians and library staff whose institutions are part of the Erasmus+ programme. Please note that travel, accommodation and organizational support costs are not covered and should be supported by your Erasmus+ Job Shadowing mobility grants.
