In August 2026, the city of Busan, South Korea, will host the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2026 (WLIC 2026). The theme of the Congress, “Libraries Powering Transformation,” reflects the vision of the IFLA Strategy 2024–2029: “Sustainable futures for all through knowledge and information.”
The WLIC 2026 will strengthen international networks among library professionals. This gathering will offer valuable opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and collective exploration of new roles for libraries in building a sustainable knowledge society.
