Hungarian Culture Days at the Thaddeus Mikulski Lower Silesian Public Library in Poland took place from 2 to 4 October 2025.

This unique mini-festival dedicated to Hungarian culture consisted of a series of meetings, lectures and walks, during which participants learned about the richness of Hungarian art, history, literature, music and traditions.

We invited wonderful speakers, experts in Hungarian culture and literature, to co-create the event. The topics of the meetings included Hungarian literature and its translations into Polish, history, film, painting and music.

Wrocław is a city with many traces of Hungarian influence, which is why a walk was organised to show these interesting places. The entire mini-festival was organised in cooperation with Ms Noémi Nagy, Vice-Consul of Hungary in Wrocław. The Consul presented the customs and traditions of her country of origin to the participants. The entire event was enriched by an exhibition of Hungarian collections held by the Tadeusz Mikulski Lower Silesian Public Library in Wrocław. We also played board games.

We were able to organise the entire event thanks to our sponsors – the Wacław Falczak Foundation in Budapest, the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Province, the City Museum in Wrocław and the Vice-Consulate of Hungary in Wrocław. The honorary patronage was taken by Paweł Gancarz, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Province.
