Description: The Illescas Library is the third largest library in Toledo and the principal library in the Sagra Region, offering a range of general and specialised library services over 4 floors. The library is in the center of the village and located in the building where it was the old cinema, it is an amazing and magic place. The Illescas Library has been an essential provider of free books, information, ideas, and education and offers many free activities and regular courses about different cultural branchs for his community for more than 30 years, serving everyone from toddlers to teens to seniors. Founded in 28 january1985, and part of public library system of Castilla La Mancha since 7 years ago, bringing an extraordinary richness of resources and opportunities available to all. Serving more than 25000 habitants, the Library holds more than 40000 items, from books, e-books, journals, newpapers and audiovisual material (CDs, DVDs, Blue Ray…) Now, our library, is being transformed into true center of educational innovation and service, vital community hub that provide far more than just free books and materials. It plays a key role in closing the digital divide, specially for the people who don’t have Internet access at home and is becaming an important cultural and educational mediator, offering subsidized and free formation in learning languages, painting, drawing, dance, music, crafts, etc…
