Description: Our Library is a nice library of almost 400 m2 located in a building built in 1990; but the life of the library dates back to 1954. The library is located near the main square of the city, famous for its beauty. Chinchón is small town near to Madrid and one of the most tourist cities of the region. The library has too reading rooms: for children and adults, and an extensive collection of books for all the ages. Many people come to the library every day not only to read but to enjoy the activities that very often are organized. The library has all the services of a public library: loan, consultation room, Internet, local section, service of reproduction. And also has an old collection of books. Our library also has an enthusiastic Friends Association supporting library operations and provide resources for the organization of activities. Our library, along with other smaller libraries is part of a working group to develop small and medium rural libraries. This group is called ""Movement of Rural Libraries"" We try to enhance the operations of libraries with few resources but with great enthusiasm to make libraries to work well.
